Todd Degner is a Certified Arborist, Landscape Designer, and Urban Ecologist. He is also a pioneer in historic tree preservation. His expertise in healing, writing, speaking, and storytelling has gained the attention of the architectural community in recent years. He is a jazz musician and has two special needs children whose frequent hospitalizations inform his perspective on evidence based design and user experience through the lens of architecture, horticulture, and design. Todd is an entrepreneur who has founded 5 separate design/build departments for landscape and arboricultural businesses across the couontry. He now resides in Tallahassee, FL.

Virginia Burt, FCSLA, FASLA, creates landscapes and gardens of meaning for residential clients, healthcare facilities, and unique special projects. In 2015, Virginia was elevated to Fellow in both the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Recent awards include two National CSLA Awards of Excellence in 2017. For over 30 years, Virginia’s international award winning work has been recognized in the design of healing gardens, labyrinths and sacred spaces. Jerry Smith is a designer, advocate and educator of sustainable sites and healing environments and is a Founding Principal of SMITH GreenHealth Consulting, based in Columbus, Ohio. With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare design industry, Jerry serves on the Environmental Standards Council of The Center for Health Design, the Board of Advisors of the Therapeutic Landscapes Network and the Steering Committee of the Green Guide for Healthcare. Jerry also serves on the Technical Core Committee of the Sustainable Sites Initiative and is a member of the SITES AP Task Force for the Green Business Certification Inc, GBCI.
