Join us for a conversation about art and design, especially about design using native and ecoappropriate plants, creating urban natural systems and "big idea" landscapes. The three ASLA fellows have collected more than 200 design awards for projects of national and international landscapes in deserts, tropical places, and everything in between.

Charles Anderson

Anderson Baron

Charles Anderson, FASLA, is a principal with Anderson Baron Landscape Architecture in Chandler, Arizona. Our collaborative studio is committed to creating artful, unique, site-specific, and exemplary spaces. Charles brings extensive experience from previous pracitces in Seattle and Los Angeles to the Phoenix metropolitan area. For 30+ years, he has crafted over 80 award-winning projects, including five ASLA national design awards. Examples of his civic-scale projects include the 8.5 acre Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle and enormous scaled projects like 1,600 acre Hellinikon in Athens, Greece and the 2,400 acre, International Peace Garden Project.

Raymond Jungles

Raymond Jungles, Inc.

Raymond Jungles, FASLA, is the founder of the Miami-based landscape architecture firm, Raymond Jungles, Inc. (RJI), recognized for excellence in the design and implementation of public and private sector projects. Raymond initiated his lifelong passion for landscape architecture soon after graduating with a degree in landscape architecture, with honors, from the University of Florida in 1981. He founded the firm in 1982. The firm was incorporated in 1985. Widely published, his three monographs; Ten Landscapes, The Colors of Nature, and most recently, The Cultivated Wild, feature more than fifty of his completed gardens.

Steve Martino

Steve Martino & Associates

Landscape Architect Steve Martino, FASLA, has earned an international reputation for design excellence. His pioneering work with native plant material and the development of a desert derived aesthetic is widely recognized. Steve’s projects have been recognized with over 100 local, regional and national design awards, including nine National Design Awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects. In 2006 Steve became the third recipient of the ASLA Design Medal for his “sustained body of exceptional design work.” His project experience ranges from urban development and remote large-scale communities, to public art competitions and private gardens.
