Vanessa Kitzie is a Ph.D. candidate in LIS at Rutgers University School of Communication and Information and a research assistant at OCLC. Her research, teaching, and practice centers on the intersection of the library, human information behavior, and ICT use, with a particular focus on the information practices of marginalized groups and how these practices may be shaped by ICTs. Prior to her Ph.D. work, Vanessa worked as a news researcher at ABC. She holds an MLIS from Rutgers University and a BA and BS from Boston University.
