News You Can Use Session
The Coalition to Advance Learning in Archives, Libraries and Museums will present an update focusing on the Mapping the Landscape project. The project is focused on documenting the continuing education and professional development needs of staff in and across cultural memory institutions. By assessing, documenting, and sharing comprehensive data on library, archives, and museum CE/PD needs, we aim to provide a view both within LAM sectors and across organizational boundaries to help CE/PD hosts and trainers understand and respond to gaps, common issues, and innovations within the field at large. This session will briefly cover the project’s goals, products (publications, data collection tools including focus groups and surveys) and initial findings.
