As the founder and owner of Tiger Stripe Publishing, my passion for providing children and adults with high quality books that feature underrepresented peoples is being fulfilled. The desire to see this dream come to life has been with me since I was a young girl. As part of my 17-year career in publishing, I have served as a managing editor and an editor for educational publishing houses in Phoenix, Atlanta, and Chicago. I worked for National Geographic's textbook division in publishing operations for nearly a decade. Reading with my own children fostered in me a love of children's books that grew into a passion.
Tiger Stripe Publishing has teamed up with Paradox Media to publish a picture-book series featuring an African American boy and his family who live in Chicago. The first of the series is titled "Q Saves the Sun" and is available on Amazon and from our website: tigerstripepub.com
