Shannon Farrell is the Natural Resources Librarian at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Prior to earning her MLIS, she spent over ten years working on large-scale, data intensive research projects related to animal behavior, wildlife conservation, and sustainable agriculture. As a science liaison, Shannon is focused on assisting researchers with their data management and data sharing needs, exploring how emerging technologies such as video games are being used in research and teaching, and developing new library services to support the growing amount of interdisciplinary work on campus. She is the chair of the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association’s (ALA-APA) Salary and Status of Library Workers committee where she helps organize and develop sessions for the ALA Annual conference on salary negotiation.
