The Design for Accessibility website is a new tool that anyone can use to understand how to make facilities, exhibits, and programs accessible to all audiences. Developed by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Institute for Human Centered Design, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, this website will help staff learn how to meet the legal requirements for accessibility for people with disabilities. The presentation will briefly cover accessibility requirements for websites, facilities, and public programs. It will demonstrate how to use the site to ensure full inclusion in programming, physical space, and electronic media making your library welcoming to all.
