Shared print retention programs are faced with the challenge of managing large data sets and creating data visualizations for analysis and retention models. This panel will discuss tools used by 4 shared print retention programs – the HathiTrust Shared Print Program, the East Academic Scholars’ Trust (EAST), the Western Regional Storage Trust (WEST), and the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries (CARL) Shared Print Trust. Tools covered: local/existing database, AGUA, Gold Rush and Green Glass.
Attendees of this program will:
1. Learn about GreenGlass as a tool for collection analysis
2. Learn about one collective print retention program
3. Learn about workflows used in a validation study
This program is intended for those engaged in collection analysis and/or retention programs, and those who are interested in both. Those who are looking for a collection analysis tool for benchmarking against other libraries.
