Matthew Beatty

Dr. Matthew Beatty is the Director of International Admission at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. He provides leadership and direction to the College's international recruitment and admission's operation in effort to achieve strategic enrollment and retention goals. Dr. Beatty has a rich background in international enrollment management and services. Before coming to Concordia, he previously served as Director of International Admissions at Indiana University and Assistant Director and Recruitment Coordinator at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. He also earned his doctorate degree in educational policy and administration from the University of Minnesota with a focus on faculty engagement in comprehensive internationalization.

Pamela K. Barrett

Pamela Barrett is an experienced international education professional and is currently a consultant with a worldwide client list. Pamela is currently Senior Consultant North America for i-graduate, working on the world-renowned ISB service. Previously Barrett led HE Advisory at KPMG, where she remains an Associate. As Education Attaché at the British Embassy in Washington, DC, Barrett was responsible for the transatlantic relationship in education. She has more than 25 years' experience in international recruitment and marketing, student services, international fundraising, alumni, and study abroad. Barrett was the associate dean at Allegheny College, where she directed international student services, study abroad and exchanges, and set up an international student recruitment program. Barrett established the first USA Year Abroad programs at the University of Sheffield and was the first assistant dean at Regent's College in London. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of London, an MBA and a Master’s degree in International Relations from USC.

David L. Di Maria

Associate Provost for International Programs

Dr. David L. Di Maria serves as the associate provost for international programs at Montana State University, where he is responsible for international partnerships, international enrollment management, international student and scholar services, international risk management, professional training programs, study abroad programs and internationalization strategy. Dr. Di Maria frequently presents, publishes, consults and trains on best practices pertaining to international education administration. He is the 2016 chair of NAFSA's International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community, an active member of NAFSA’s Trainer Corps and a former Core Education Program Dean. Outside of NAFSA, Dr. Di Maria serves as an external reviewer for the American International Recruitment Council, he is a member of the advisory council of MSU's Center for Bilingual and Multicultural Education, and he is a Neal Presidential Fellow with the Association of International Education Administrators. Dr. Di Maria earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a doctorate in educational policy and administration from the University of Minnesota. His doctoral research focused on campus services for international students.

Mona Menking

Mona Menking is a tri-lingual (native proficiency in English, Spanish and Farsi), extroverted, dynamic, task-oriented professional with a passion for excellence. Born in Iran, her family fled that country to escape religious persecution when she was four years old. After spending four years in England, at the age of 8, her family relocated to Quito, Ecuador. In Quito she secured a scholarship to attend the elite Academia Cotopaxi International Baccalaureate School through the 11th grade. She finished high school in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Ms. Menking has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque (1995), and a Master’s Degree in Education from Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), Ecuador, graduating with honors (2007).

Ms. Menking has worked in higher education since 2001, serving the Office of the President at USFQ in various capacities, including Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation, Director of Alumni Relations and Development, and International Summit Coordinator. At USFQ she gained a deep understanding of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation process as USFQ prepared for U.S. accreditation. After working for a brief period in Western Kentucky University’s Office of Enrollment Management (2008), she began telecommuting as an International Admissions Counselor for the University of Mississippi, with a special emphasis on Latin America and the Middle East and successfully did this for three and a half years. She is currently the Associate Director for International Initiatives for the Center for Intercultural and Multilingual Advocacy of the College of Education at Kansas State University. She resides in Las Cruces, New Mexico with her husband Dr. Cornell Menking, Associate Provost for International and Border Programs at New Mexico State University, and her son CJ and daughter Aryana.
