Amanda Xu has been working in the field of content integration, analysis and enhancement for highly esteemed academic libraries, library consortium, and online information service companies for over 18 years. She received her MS in 1992 from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has been studying MS in management and systems at New York University for the past eight years. She regards herself as one of the millions of librarians defining the role of academic librarianship in information age as knowledge workers who are proficient in technology, information and research, and making the strides to embrace changes in information technology and the way people search, discover, coordinate, understand, access, consume and share information.
