Dr. Sylvia D. Hall-Ellis is and Adjunct Professor in the School of Information at San José State University and the Director of Grants and Resource Development for the Colorado Community College System. She provides leadership and vision for the continued growth of rigorous scholarship, innovative research, and creative work for statewide system of 13 campuses and 50 teaching sites. Dr. Hall-Ellis has unique expertise in the areas of database building and maintenance, bibliographic cataloging, and grant writing. She has more than 40 years of experience working in libraries as an administrator, development officer, and project manager. She has written numerous technical reports, articles, and five monographs and has conducted major field-based research studies. Dr. Hall-Ellis attended library school at the University of North Texas and received her doctorate in library and information science from the University of Pittsburgh.
