In order to become successful, a product must be used by its target audience. It has to provide the right features, benefits and value for its users. A new solution to help faculty members manage resources and reading lists faces the same challenges as any other new product in this regard. At a time when library systems are in transition and librarians are looking for new opportunities to embed themselves and the library’s services within the curriculum and teaching and learning missions of the university, successful engagement with faculty is more important than ever for ensuring the success of new initiatives. In this session, we will focus on strategies for bringing faculty on board with new projects and products, [with a particular focus on Leganto, the new Ex Libris product for reading lists].
