Reinhold Heuvelmann works as a Senior Information Standards Specialist at the German National Library. In the Office for Library Standards he is responsible for national and international processes in the standardization of bibliographic data formats, particularly of MARC 21. He played a key role in the transition from the German MAB Format to MARC 21. Reinhold Heuvelmann is a member of the MARC Advisory Committee, the MARC Steering Group and of MODS/MADS Editorial Committee. On the implementation level he is part of a team that works on format mappings for the export and import of bibliographic data in several formats. The German National Library was a BIBFRAME Early Experimenter institution, and is now listed in the BIBFRAME Implementation Register and participating in the BIBFRAME Implementation Testbed, with Reinhold Heuvelmann as contact.
