Ormilla Vengersammy, Department Head of the Technology & Education Center and the Dorothy Lumley Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity has worked for the Orange County Library System for approximately thirteen years. Ormilla oversees the Technology Training Program in which she leads a team of five Instructional Technology Specialist and twenty-five instructors in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating educational programs for instructor-led online and face-to-face instruction. Some of the classes and workshop offered to the public range from computer basics and office productivity to audio, video, photography, game design & development, coding & programming, and sewing…just to name a few! She has written two past articles for the Computers In Libraries Magazine on how the Library’s training program incorporated the ADDIE Model and cognitive learning theories in its curriculum development. Ormilla graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City with a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems. She has a Graduate Certification in Instructional Design for Simulations and a M.A. in Instructional Design from the University of Central Florida.
