Brandy McNeil is the Associate Director of Tech Education & Training for the second largest public library in the United States, the New York Public Library. She exemplifies the mission of the library which is to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge and strengthen the communities by the work she has done in just 4 years. Brandy manages tech education for over 88 branches across New York City and has successfully recruited and developed a team of effective professionals and support staff. In the little time that Brandy has been at the Library, she has designed and built 7 brand new state of the art computer labs, tripled attendance numbers for tech education, launched several innovative and successful programs in which one boasts an impressive 5K+ waitlist and also established partnerships with some of the world’s most prestigious organizations such as Google, Codecademy, the United Nations and the U.S. Embassy of Athen, Greece. Brandy speaks nationally and has been featured on television, in newspapers, blogs and other media outlets. Previously she served as a Global Training Analyst for a Fortune 500 company for over 11 years. Brandy has an extensive background in leadership, management, community engagement, technology training, curriculum development, instructional design and facilitation. Brandy speaks nationally and has been featured on television, in newspapers, blogs and other media outlets. She received her B.A. degree from Hunter College and her M.B.A. from Walden University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate. In her spare time, Brandy is a writer and motivational speaker.
