Kick off your conference weekend with ALCTS 101--a friendly, low-key evening with light refreshments and the opportunity to win great door prizes!
ALCTS 101 is an informal overview of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) Division. Chat with established members about ALCTS sections (cataloging, preservation, continuing resources, etc.), interest groups, navigating Annual, publishing opportunities, professional development, and volunteer opportunities.
All are welcome—those considering membership with ALCTS, student members, new members, and long-term members wanting to brush-up on what ALCTS can offer you!
For anyone interested in the ALCTS New Members Interest Group (ANMIG), they will hold a brief business meeting following the event.
You’re also invited to the second annual ALCTS 102 – The After Party! Join your colleagues and head over to the Rosen Plaza Lobby Bar (9700 International Dr, http://www.rosenplaza.com/dining-and-recreation/) immediately following ALCTS 101; it’s a short walk and great way to continue your conversations! If you can’t attend 101, feel free to meet up with us there between 8:45 and 9:00. An RSVP is appreciated for headcount purposes, but not required!
