Not for Profit and ID/DD Providers Join Forces for a Day of Highly Specialized Programming

What happens when you combine Living the Mission with Leading the Charge for Compassionate Care? You get a full day of targeted, impactful programming geared to the needs of Not for Profit Providers and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Residential Services Providers. The two groups share programing in the morning featuring keynote speaker John O’Leary from Live Inspired, a timely update on the presidential and congressional races, and key employee engagement information. Then in the afternoon, the groups will break up and hear topics specific to their area of focus.

Session Description: Hear from a CMS expert on the Agency’s work on policies and issues impacting the LTC world. Have the opportunity to discuss those regulatory areas that appear to be the most challenging for you as a provider, and get your questions answered.

Nutrition’s Role in the Impact Act of 2014 and Quality Measures/Outcomes

Speaker: Brenda Richardson, MA, RDN, LD, CD, FAND, LTC Nutrition Expert, President-Brenda Richardson, LLC.

Session Description: This informative session provides an overview of the critical role of nutrition in the IMPACT Act and quality measures across settings. The 4 key Quality Measures and specific “best practice” person-centered care for nutrition will be presented to include: Pressure Ulcers - New or Worsened, Functional Assessment and Care Plan, Falls/Major Injury and Unplanned Readmission for 30 Days Post Discharge Care.
