Susan Ellison is the Director of the Office of Visa and Immigration Services at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. A member of NAFSA since 2010, Susan is the Scholar Regulatory Ombudsperson for Region XI and a member of the Region XI Government Relations Advisory Committee (GRAC). Prior to joining Dartmouth, Susan was a Partner with the immigration law firm of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, and served as an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School.

Lesley N. Salafia

Lesley Salafia is an Attorney with the University of Connecticut’s Office of the General Counsel. She serves as the signatory authority and provides legal analysis, preparation and review of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions (e.g. H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3, etc) and permanent residency cases on behalf of the foreign national faculty and staff at the University of Connecticut. She also provides legal services in connection with other issues and initiatives at the University of Connecticut. Lesley is a member of NAFSA’s Prevailing Wage Working Group.

Before joining the University of Connecticut, Lesley was an associate in the Hartford office of the law firm Shipman & Goodwin LLP, where she served in the immigration and employment litigation practice groups, representing employers throughout the nonimmigrant and immigrant visa process. Lesley is actively involved in the Connecticut Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She graduated with honors from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law and received her Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ellen M. Conway

Senior Advisor/Consular Officer
US Department of State Visa Office

Ellen Conway, a Senior Advisor for the U.S. Department of State's Visa Office, is a retired Foreign Service Officer. Ellen joined the Foreign Service in 1985 and throughout her 26-year career, she served overseas in Poland, the Philippines, Latvia and Norway, mostly in consular positions. In Washington, DC, Ellen served in various assignments at the State Department, from Poland Desk Officer to Director of the Office of Children's Issues. She completed her FS career in the Visa Office, as Director of the Post Liaison Office.
