This presentation will offer a road map of questions and best practices from the time of admissions through graduation for sponsored students. Particular focus will be on troubleshooting conflicting policies, practices, and regulations international educators face in the admission documentation process as well as in the immigration and academic advising arenas.

(We are looking for a co-presenter who will provide the sponsor's perspective)

Sara M. Sanford

Director of International Academic Services
MCPHS University

Sara Sanford is the Director of International Academic Services at MCPHS University in Boston. Sara has extensive experience in international education and international student and scholar services, most recently at Brown University as Assistant Director of International Student Services. Sara received her M.A. in International Education at George Washington University and has held regional leadership roles in NAFSA, including Regulatory Ombudsperson, Regional Conference Chair, and Regional Conference Co-Chair. In addition to these leadership roles, Sara is currently a member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps, and has trained various workshops.

Suzanne Kratzig

Placement Specialist/Client Liaison and Associate Program Manager for W.K. Kellogg Social Leadership Scholarship
LASPAU: Academic and Professional Program for the Americas

Suzanne Kratzig serves Laspau in the position of Placement Specialist/Client Liaison and Associate Program Manager of the W.K. Kellogg Social Leadership Scholarship. A multi-lingual professional with more than a decade of experience in international and domestic education and training, Suzanne currently helps sponsored students navigate the graduate admissions process, in addition to liaising with Fulbright partners and building university partnerships. She also manages a scholarship program serving Haitian and Mexican scholars. Suzanne previously served the international student and scholar population at Boston University. Ms. Kratzig holds a Master of Arts degree in International Education from George Washington University.
