MOC Self-Assessment

APM offers a self-assessment component that can earn APM 2016 attendees eight (8) additional CME credits for maintenance of certification (MOC). These credits can apply to any psychiatry certification you hold; you can use them to meet your requirements for General Psychiatry, for example, as well as Psychosomatic Medicine. This self-assessment is free for all APM members and just $20 for non-members registered for the meeting.

How it works: All pre-registrants as of October 23 will be emailed a link to a self-assessment pre-test of more than 100 multiple-choice questions that cover information that will be presented in this year's pre-conference courses and sessions. Participants who submit the pre-test by November 4 will receive on Sunday, November 6 a report that contains their own answers, the correct answers, how they did compared to other test-takers, and guidance on which meeting sessions could fill in the gaps of their knowledge. Meeting attendees registering after October 23 will be provided the self-assessment test prior to the meeting, but will not receive their test results until after the meeting.

You do not need to be seeking recertification to participate in the meeting's self-assessment component. It can be useful even if you are a trainee. All results will be confidential and are for the education of only the test-taker. Results will be shared only in aggregate to help participants understand how they compare to the group.

For more information about MOC and the self-assessment requirement, visit this page of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology website: http://www.abpn.com/maintain-certification/maintenance-of-certification-program/

If you registered for the meeting and do not have the link to access the online test, please contact the Academy office at info@apm.org

If you have taken the test and do not have your results or your confirmation documentation, please contact Dr. Bob Boland at rjboland@partners.org. The executive office has no involvement with the administration of the MOC; emails sent to the executive office inquiring about your MOC results and documentation will be forwarded to Dr. Boland.

The MOC test will be available through November 30. Please ensure you have completed your online test by that date. The test is only available to meeting attendees.
