Anyone is welcome to attend this open session, organized by YALSA's Research Committee and the JRLYA Advisory Board. As YA library services evolve to meet teens’ needs in an ever-changing information environment, library and information science (LIS) education is also changing. This session will feature an overview of current and future directions in LIS education for teen services, followed by facilitated small-group discussions and an open forum for exploration of the newly emerging vision of LIS teen services and the implications for professional education.
