Amanda Kordeliski is the Teacher Librarian at Irving Middle School in Norman, OK. She has worked as a librarian for Norman Public Schools for six year. In 2015, Amanda was the Irving teacher of the year and was a finalist for district teacher of the year. She has served as chair of her state book award committee and is very active in the Oklahoma School Librarians Association, Oklahoma Library Association, AASL and YALSA. Amanda has written several articles for YALS and served on numerous ALA committees, including ALA Center for the Future of Libraries workgroup, Teen Read Week, YALSABlog Advisory Board, YALSA Futures committee and YALSA President's Program taskforce. Amanda was a teacher scholar for the National History Day/American Battle Monuments Commission Understanding Sacrifice: World War II in Northern Europe in 2014-2015 and is currently working in the second teacher cohort to produce similar materials for World War II in the Mediterranean.
