Adding graphic novels to library collections increases circulation, and the patrons who check out graphic novels are very likely to come back and become active library users. But once the collection has been started, it can be hard to continue its development. Every week, there are new graphic novels, comic book trade paperbacks, and manga tankōbon being published that have been missed by the traditional print review journals. Luckily, there are a plethora of other reliable resources and quick tricks that can help librarians to identify and select these high interest titles and stay ahead of their patrons’ demands.
