If you are new to the field, transitioning, or just want to learn more about how you can advance your career, take advantage of this opportunity to ask career related questions of winners of the Lily von Klemperer award, for education abroad excellence and willingness to share their knowledge with others, on how they achieved success, their career trajectory, and much more.

Mandy Reinig

Director of International Education
St. Mary's College of Maryland
Saint Marys City, MD

Mandy Reinig is the Director of International Education at St. Mary's College of Maryland. She works with both incoming and outgoing students as well as faculty-led short-term programs. Reinig presents often on topics related to technology within the education abroad field and is currently a member of Trainer Corps and has been the Communications Manager for Region VIII and the Network Leader for the EA KC. Reinig also started her own company, Mandy's Mashups, to educate the international education field on social media topics and trends through workshops, blogs, and more. Additionally, she serves as the PDSO and the RO for St. Mary's College and has been instrumental in bringing the institution in line with best practices within the field, especially as they relate to budgetary and health and safety practices, as well as being innovative in creating new programs in resource challenged environments.

Cori Filson

Skidmore College Office of Off-campus Study & Exchanges
Saratoga Springs, NY

Cori Filson, Director of Off-Campus Study & Exchanges at Skidmore College, has been active in the field of study abroad for over 20 years. She has served as a resident director and instructor in Salamanca, Spain and as an education abroad advisor, program manager, and, currently, as the director off-campus study. Cori has held positions at a private study abroad provider, a large state research university, and, most recently, at a small, private liberal arts college. In addition, she has served on many national boards, has conducted program evaluations for her institutional and outside programs, has the opportunity to present regularly on current topics in the field of international education, and has published various articles, as well as NAFSA’s publication, Abroad by Design. Cori has BA in Spanish and German from St. Lawrence University and an MA in Hispanic Literature from The University of Texas at Austin.


Nancy Ericksen

Nancy Ericksen has been in Study Abroad at Trinity University for 30 years. She is a former member of Trainer Corps and served in the Chair Stream for the Education Abroad Knowledge Community 2005-2007. Nancy presented on Education Abroad for the NAFSA Region III Academy for International Education.


Bradley Titus

Director of Institutional Relations & Diversity Initiatives
University of Minnesota Learning Abroad Center
Minneapolis, MN

Bradley Titus is the Director of Institutional Relations and Diversity Initiatives in the Learning Abroad Center at the University of Minnesota. He oversees the Institutional Relations for the office, communication externally for the office as well as the diversity efforts on campus. In the past, BJ was on the subcommittee for Leadership Cultivation within NAFSA and the Education Abroad Representative for NAFSA Region IV. He has published in Heritage Seeking Students and has presented on getting involved in the field, Heritage seeking, GLBT and other Diversity issues. BJ has worked in education abroad since 2002, at the University of Minnesota as well as Macalester College. He holds a BA in Spanish Studies and Linguistics and an MA in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota.
