What does ‘daring greatly’ look like in international education?
This presentation builds on last year’s presentation about failure and dives deeper into how to dare greatly in your work everyday. Presenters will discuss moving past the negative experience of failure to maximize learning and move to a place of creativity and opportunity.

Samantha Martin

CEO & Co-Founder

Samantha is the CEO and co-founder of Via TRM, an technology company that gives international educators a new way to recruit, advise, and enroll students. Previously, she developed & facilitated online courses for students and staff and worked as a Study Abroad Advisor at SUNY New Paltz and a Program Coordinator at IEP at Jacksonville University. Samantha completed an MA in peace and conflict studies from the University of Ulster in Derry, Northern Ireland on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship.


Natalie M. Garrett

Director of Marketing & Customer Experience
Santa Clarita, California

Natalie has over 10 years of experience in higher education working in undergraduate and international admission at Prescott College, Marymount College (now Marymount California University), and Northeastern University. She has also worked at EUSA Academic Internships and GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Internships (now International Studies Abroad).

Her varied experience in international and domestic admission as well as with study abroad providers makes her uniquely placed to understand all sides of the process. She is passionate about simplifying and demystifying the study abroad process for students and international educators.

She completed a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Organizational Change at UCLA. She is currently learning a lot about software and the ways technology can enhance human interaction. Natalie loves learning of any kind, so Via TRM is a great fit!
