This session is for administrators who operationalize Title IX and Clery responsibilities. Panelists will discuss practical concerns for U.S. universities, program providers, and institutions abroad, particularly those in countries with strict privacy laws. Strategies for overcoming challenges will be addressed and illustrated by a case study.

Denise Cope has been working in international education for over 20 years and is currently the Director of the Office of International Education at the University of Denver in Colorado, USA. She has lived in Turkey, Japan, Morocco and the USA. Her interests include assessment, risk management, and contemplative intercultural development.

Sarah Leach

Sarah Leach is the Head of Study Abroad at University of York, England, responsible for all outward mobility programmes for students and staff, as well as the incoming visiting students programme. Sarah has managed study abroad activities at the University of York for over 10 years and has developed a broad portfolio of opportunities in response to the University's strategic objective to increase participation in international activities. Sarah is Chair of the Executive Committee of BUTEX, a sector organisation working on behalf of over 90 UK HE institutions who manage exchange programmes outside Europe, a member of HEURO, a sector organisation for European mobility officers and a member of the national working group on UK Outward Student Mobility Strategy led by Universities UK.

Robin Marie Reliford

Robin Marie Reliford is the Director of Health, Safety and Security at International Studies Abroad (ISA), one of the country's leading providers of study abroad programs. In her role as director, Robin is responsible for working with ISA staff globally to manage crisis and she supports resident staff by serving as the primary U.S.-based emergency responder. She works with ISA executive management to facilitate policy development relating to health, safety and security issues and is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry best practices and federal regulations. Robin received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.A from West Chester University.
