Associate Research Fellow, Pfizer Inc
Donna Zyry, DVM, MS, CPIA, is an Associate Research Fellow in Global Animal Welfare and Compliance within Pfizer Comparative Medicine (CM) and is located in Groton, CT. Her primary responsibilities include internal and external communications on animal issues, supporting the 3Rs of animal research at Pfizer and influencing the external environment in support of biomedical research. She also interacts with key animal welfare and regulatory organizations to stay on top of new regulatory trends, requirements and global concerns in animal use and care, working to support positions and policy appropriate to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. Donna joined Pfizer in 1994 as a clinical research investigator in the (former) Pfizer Animal Health division. In 2007, she became Director of Regulatory Compliance for the CM Groton site, leading the Groton CM regulatory compliance group. She assumed her current role in 2014. Donna received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the State University of New York College at Purchase and a Master of Science in Pathology from the University of Rhode Island. She earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.Executive Director of the Office of the IACUC, Columbia University
