presenter photoMark has been active in the art and science of nursing for more than 30 years. He earned his BSN in 1985 followed by his MNSc. in 1992 both from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), Little Rock, Arkansas. Mark spent the first 8 years of his nursing career as a nursing coordinator in a burn/trauma unit followed by his present position as the Senior Vascular Access Specialist. He pioneered the Vascular Access Service at UAMS to include placement of all forms of vascular devices and the specialized nursing team now hosts regularly scheduled residents from Surgery and Anesthesia to enhance their ultrasound placement skills. He has lectured on aspects of vascular access throughout the United States and internationally. Mark is active within the Association for Vascular Access (AVA) and was honored to be elected President of the Board 2014-2015 and now serves as Presidential Advisor. He lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his spouse and they are the proud adopted parents of two of the best dogs in the world!

presenter photoGail Egan has more than 20 years experience in coordinating vascular access practice in Interventional Radiology including device placement, clinical management, complication management and education. She has served as principle and co-investigator on a number of clinical trials in vascular access, and has published widely in the specialty. She has participated in the development of new techniques and devices in vascular access. Ms. Egan is the 2008 recipient of the Suzanne LaVere Herbst Award for Excellence in Vascular Access Practice. She is currently a nurse practitioner in Interventional Radiology at the Sutter Medical Group in Sacramento, California
