Pediatrics SIG

Focused on pediatric vascular access?

You can attend education and training sessions planned especially for pediatric vascular access. AVA 2014 includes a Pediatric track, designed by the Pediatric Special Interest Group, while still providing the opportunity to network with all AVA attendees.

The Pediatric track is intended for all clinicians who currently meet the vascular access needs of the pediatric and/or neonatal populations, and those who are interested in doing so. Targeting novice and seasoned providers alike, this track focuses on safety, best practices, and novel strategies to care for the unique needs of these patient populations. Attendees will have a chance to learn from experts in the field as they discuss topics such as how to develop a pediatric VAT, insertion and management of VADs in complex patients, the challenges and benefits of implementing US for PICC insertions in neonatal patients, current research on VAD related thrombosis and much more.

Learn more about the sessions in the Pediatric track.

The AVA Pediatric Special Interest Group is a multidisciplinary group of practitioners dedicated to best practices in the science of vascular access for children and infants.
